Prior Pursglove College Archives

Home of the archives of the college, grammar school and almshouses in Guisborough

Welcome to the online home of Prior Pursglove College Archive. This website was created with the aid of the Heritage Lottery Fund to enable public access to the archive of the college, grammar school and almshouses of Guisborough.

Here, you will find the vast majority of our holdings in an easy-to-access format. We retain the copyright, meaning that anyone who wants to use our collections for a commercial purpose needs to get in touch with us first on 01287 280 800 and ask to speak with our Marketing Officer. However, if you’re looking into your family history, if you’re an educator, a researcher or a student or have any other non-commercial interest in our archives, we would be very happy for you to use the images and information here with appropriate credit. If you would like higher resolution copies of our photographs, these are available for £2 per image. Please email us on ppc.museum@pursglove.ac.uk with the details of the image you would like. All monies will be used to ensure the long-term safety of the archive.
