Graham Plews was born on 23 October 1911 and attended the School between January 1917 and December 1928.
During World War II, Graham served as a Lieutenant in the Royal Armoured Corps, Royal Scots Greys (2nd Dragoons).
Lieutenant Graham Plews died on 18 October 1943, aged 31, and is buried in Minturno War Cemetery in Italy.
His name is recorded on the Grammar School’s War Honours Board — alongside the names of all of the Grammar School’s alumni to die in the First and Second World Wars.
