Sheddon John Alderson was born on 2 September 1921 and enrolled at the School on 19 September 1933.
During World War II, Sheddon served as a Sergeant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 69 Squadron.
He died on 11 May 1945, aged 24, and is buried in Eindhoven, Holland. His name is recorded on the Grammar School’s War Honours Board — alongside the names of all of the Grammar School’s alumni to die in the First and Second World Wars.
